Okay, so several weeks ago, the hard drive on my laptop decided to suffer a hardware failure; basically, it won't start up, and as such I can't get to the files on it.
Most of my files were saved to an external drive (thankfully), but there were a decent number that had not yet been backed up.
Because the laptop is still dead, I am left using my account on the family desktop, which isn't available nearly as much.
Thus, my project of organizing and filling up my favourites folders is on hold until I get my laptop up and running again.
As a side-note, data recovery from hard drives seems to run in the $600 - $1600 range (U.S. dollars). *choke*

So, a couple of points.
First, some housekeeping: I'm gradually going through artwork here on dA from which I derive enjoyment, and adding it to my favourites folders; my 'rule of thumb' is that if I show favour to five or more works, then that user gets their own folder/directory, while four or fewer goes into the general populace.
So far, I am up to the letter 'F' in the first run-through, so there is progress being made, but it shall still take some time.
Secondly, I just watched episode two from season two of Sherlock (from BBC) once more, and I have been pondering upon their depiction of Irene Adler. In the original story, she is neit

I've been adding quite a few works to my Favorites list; due to Season 3 of MLP-FiM debuting a few weeks back, I've switched back into pony-mode.
To all those whose works I've added as a Favorite, thank you for putting in the time to create, so that others, such as myself, could enjoy them.

Four days without pony...O-O
Greetings.
Lost power the evening of this Saturday last, and got it back mid-afternoon of Wednesday.
Four days (ish) on a generator, where my room wasn't on the circuit.
Four days of no work (sweet!), no internet (sad face) and no access to pony music or art (Rarity-style faint).
The E-Continuum has welcomed me back.
I'm connected again! Entertained again!

I don't know if you solved this issue so far but, if you haven't, you could consider just opening the dead laptop, extracting the HDD and plug it into your desktop pc to recover the files on it. Unless the problem is the hdd itself.
